How I Cleared My Skin After Giving Birth | Planeville Mom

Hey friends!

The entire time I was pregnant with my second child, I was depressed with how my skin looks in general. Whoever says you get that natural glow when you have a bun on your oven has either not been pregnant or is Marian Rivera. LOL!

Then my mother in-law recommended Dr. Alvin's Rejuvenating set. A month after I gave birth, I started using the product and saw significant results in just two weeks! I was so impressed with how it improved my skin and my co-workers started noticing soI ended up selling it in our office. So I created this video to show you how I cleared my skin and I hope it works for you too!

Disclaimer: This is a non-sponsored post. While this works on my skin, it may not work for you. Please try to do a skin test before using the product.

Huggies Gentle Care Baby Wipes | Product Review

Hey lovies!

Remember that time when I bought Bebeta Wet Wipes just because I can't find Nursy anywhere? So I ran into the same situation a few days back but this time I picked Huggies Gentle Care Baby Wipes.

My first love was Drypers wet wipes which has a tutty fruity scent (and I got crazy about it) but it was just too hard to find one especially when you're constantly travelling. And then I fell in love with Nursy Baby Wipes In Power Scent. Still loving it for 2 years now. At P91.00, it's one of the cheapest brands you can find that's readily available at any supermarket. Nursy also recently released a new scent called Bedtime in lavender scent and I enjoy it just as much as I enjoy the powder scent. But then again, I had to pick out another brand. Priced at P153.00, I had pretty high expectations from this brand. Annnnd tada! It did not disappoint.

Look at the quality! Isn't it amazing? So thick and gentle to the skin. It doesn't have any scent and I am not sure how I feel about that. I still like the powder and lavender scent of Nursy though. But the quality of Huggies is so good, 2 wipes and your baby's yucky poopy problem is gone. Here's a side by side picture of Nursy Bedtime and Huggies Gentle Care baby wipes.

See the difference? My final thoughts on Huggies baby wipes is it's really good. With 1 or 2 wipes, Sean's bottom gets squeaky clean. But for approximately P2.00 per wipe? That is damn expensive mah friend. Nobody got money for that! LOL. I do not see myself repurchasing and using this on a daily basis just because it is very expensive. On the other hand, it gets the job done faster and I like that so I would probably pick this up again if we're travelling. Have you tried this? Any thoughts on this? I'd love to hear from you! :)

PS. this is not a paid post.

Tiny Buds In a Rash? Soothing Cream | Product Review

Hello lovies!

I am back with a review on one of my favorite baby brands - Tiny Buds!

Both my 3-year old and 8-month old kids are using 'In A Rash?' on a daily basis even if they do not have rashes. We recently ran out of our trusty bottom cream so I had to get a new bottle at my nearest Baby Company outlet. I know Tiny Buds recently changed its Baby Bottle and Utensil Cleanser packaging and I was surprised to see that they changed the packaging of their 'In a Rash?' as well.

Thoughts On My Plane Ride Home

While boarding the plane earlier today, the woman in front of me told her companion "Nararamdaman ko na yung tenga ko. Sumasakit na." Like, seriously? We're not even flying yet! Is it just me? Or is the number of idiots really increasing.

I don't know what happened but I have become really bitchy and critical these past few days.. maybe months. I have issues controlling my "candid" opinion on things, notice even the slightest flinch on your face or the smallest degree of inconsistencies in your story. Here are a few words and phrases which tick me off:

My Birthday Wishesss

Two days before my birthday and my husband's starting to ask what gift I wanted for my day. I honestly do not have anything in mind other than a hot, steamy..that thing adults do - you know what I mean, right? Haha! :) C'mon! Spare me with your judgment, it's my birthday month!

I don't know if it comes with age, but flowers, or chocolates do not strike me that much as it did when I was 18. It could be good news to my husband as all it takes to make me happy is him exercising his human rights and that funny muscle (LOL) yet I have other wishes which could be a little complicated than hugs and kisses.

Ala-nike na motivational post - Just Do It!

Wooow. It's been a whiiiile. My recent trip to Manila made me miss writing. So much! It's been more than a year since I started working, eight months since we moved here in Cebu and I must say, it was one helluva year!

I have transitioned from being a full-time stay at home mom to becoming a call center agent (part time blogger), to becoming a boss to 27 persons with different smell, behavior, habit, perspective, motivation ,reasoning skills, and level of understanding. Yes, some just doesn't give so much shit about hygiene.

Avent Classic vs Avent Natural Bottles: Product Review

I am a self-confessed Avent-holic mom. To me, when you say its Avent, I am immediately convinced that it is safe for my baby and is worth an investment.

My husband and I bought classic Avent bottles in preparation to the arrival of our baby number 1. We chose avent classic at the time because that was the cheapest among the existing line of Avent feeding bottles. You get 3 pieces of 9oz bottle for Php1,399.00 - that's mall price.

Davao: Life is Here!

So my officemates are planning this grand out of town trip sometime in March and they unfortunately were unable to book that promo fare to Puerto Prinsesa - so they thought of flying to Davao instead. Deym. So okay, tourist guide present, Ma'am, Sir!

Mom's (Not So Deep) Darkest Secret.

Oh boy, when I got pregnant to Huey my skin started to break. My nose got huge, sooo huge! Had pimples all over my face. Tons of them! I look like a pimple with a face. Ha! I had a big-o bump at 6 months. And was almost overweight couple of weeks before I gave birth. But the saddest part I felt was when my neck started to darken. Then my face. Then my dark underarms, uhmm, got darker.

Sentro 1771 | You've Got To Try It To Believe It!

For some reason, everytime I see my husband to who-knows-what-part-of-the-country he is, we always end up raving for Filipino cuisine. Nothings beats the comfort of that familiar taste you get from a hearty shrimp sinigang, lechon kawali or crispy pata after a long day of check-in's, long wait time at boarding counters, and flying. Staying at 3 different islands in a span of two (2) years and being constantly on the move to conform with my husband's work schedule, foodtripping is somehow our way of bonding and getting the feel of "home" while being away from home. Now I think I found the perfect place to take my husband for a date the next time he comes to Manila!

Revisiting Zubuchon: Discovering Saguyon

One day I woke up and decided to take a flight back to Cebu. Haha! Talk about spontaneity! And would I dare miss my top 1 must-try restaurant in Cebu?

So we ordered our usual Zubuchon Meal and surprised with the sudden price increase. 😱 From Php120.00, zubuchon with rice meal now costs Php160.00! Yay! They say its because of the recently concluded Cebu International Triathlon. Maybe that also caused the sudden price increase on airfare tickets to Cebu. Sad face.

My Top Five Must-Try Restaurants in Cebu

My officemate and his wife are going on a 24-hour weekend getaway to Cebu next week without an itinerary or any sort of a plan for that matter. It was originally a five-day vacation trip that has to be cut short due to work schedule. And since they barely have a day to experience Cebu, they said they would most probably just eat there and buy pasalubongs. I just can't help but feel so giddy about sharing the places I've been to in Sugbu which inspired me to write this post. You know, sometimes its easier to say "just read my blog". Haha! So here is my top five list of must-try restaurants in Cebu:

Bebeta Wet Wipes in a Bottle [Product Review]

Afpces ran out of Nursy wet wipes (the pink one) - my new favorite wet wipes. So I had to run to the nearest mall just to find out it wasn't also available in the supermarket. So I had no choice but to buy a different brand.

My mother-in-law mentioned before about a certain brand of wet wipes in a bottle and said two bottles only cost Php100.00. I thought it's silly to place wipes in a bottle. Hehe. So when I was contemplating what brand of wet wipes I'd buy out of what's available in the shelves, I immediately noticed Bebeta wet wipes and indeed it was in a bottle!

Camotes Island Adventure in Less than 24 Hours!

I am surprised that most of my friends from Davao and Manila who've been to Cebu have not heard about Camotes Islands yet. If you missed Camotes in your itinerary, oh dear, you missed half of your life! So let me share my experience and give you a quick guide on how to get there!
